Will JCSWebHosting.com register my domain name for me?

We currently do not do domain registration. We recommend that you register your domain name through registerfly.com

I am hosting somewhere else, but would like to host with you.

In order to have no downtime, you need to follow the steps below:

1.	Purchase one of our hosting plans and wait till your account is setup (within 12 hours).
2.	After you receive an email notification of your account setup, change your DNS settings to: ns1.jcswebhosting.com ns2.jcswebhosting.com Do not cancel your current hosting account until 72 hours after you make DNS changes to our name servers.
3.	Cancel your current hosting account.

How much do you charge for extra bandwidth and disk space?

$1.99 per GB if you exceed your limit.

$5 for additional 100 MB.

Is there a fee for upgrading?

No. You will only have to pay the difference in price between the hosting plans.

Will there be any forced banners or pop-ups on my site?

No.

How long does it take to set up an account?

JCSWebHosting.com will have your account up within 12 hours.

How do I transfer my domain to JCSWebHosting.com?

You can initiate the process by logging into your domain registrar account and redirecting your name servers to our name servers:

ns2.jcswebhosting.com

If you are unable to change your domain or have no technical knowledge of how to do so, please contact our support team and we will get it done on your behalf. Name server settings may take up to 48 to 72 hours to propagate.

Where is my upload directory?

For HTML files: /httpdocs

For CGI files: /cgi-bin

How to upload via FTP?

Please use the info below:

FTP Hostname: IP address of the server OR ftp.yourdomain.com

User ID: username@yourdomain.com

Password: your_password

How to upload via Frontpage Extensions?

Publish Location: http://yourdomain.com

User ID: username

Password: your_password

REMEMBER, to publish with Frontpage, you have to wait until your DNS settings propagate 100%. Please allow 48 to 72 hours to upload/publish after you have made changes to your domain registrar to use our name servers.

Email Settings?

You should use the following information to retrieve email:

POP3 Hostname: mail.yourdomain.com

username: youremail@yourdomain.com

password: your_password

REMEMBER, if you are using Outlook Express as your email client, make sure 'My Server Requires Authentication' options are enabled, otherwise you won't be able to sent email using your SMTP relay.
